“WITH I, CREATIVITY HAS NO BOUNDARY”.
“I” as the initial letter of Infiniti, represents 5 different elements “Inspiration”, “Innovation”, “In-style”, “Influence” and “Impression”, cumulatively expressing the positioning of Infiniti, in its new era of modern luxury.
Infiniti, an icon of modern luxury, who persistently incorporates artistic design and exhilarating performance, has organized the “Inspired Performance Journey” in China. From May 25th to Sep 12th, 2009, amateur artists, journalists and the public submitted their art pieces through an official website at www.i-journey.com.cn. Four different categories of art pieces were accepted including paintings, photos, sculptures and creative lifestyle, created with the essence of the Infiniti design philosophy. Short listed art pieces will be exhibited in dealerships showrooms, across Beijing, Dalian, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Chengdu. The contest had a jury composed of famous artists & the public, who voted on a winner that will be awarded with 100,000 RMB cash and the opportunity to join the “Luxury Oversea Tour” for free. The 2nd to 5th place winners will also be awarded with the opportunity of the oversea tour.
The event premiered at D-PARK in Beijing 798 Art Zone on May 25th, 2009. The dealers, artists, car owners and 91 journalists from 79 media properties, together with Infiniti witnessed the remarkable moment.
On July 3rd, 2009, the “Inspired Performance Journey” opened in Beijing at the YunTong Infiniti showroom. The event, which was themed “Impression”, featured Mr. Qiu Xin, a young & successful modern artist, who brought his art piece “Paint the sky with inspiration”, which he created especially for this event. A total of twenty-five art pieces including photography, paintings and home decorations were exhibited, which built the bridge between the Infiniti brand philosophy and its customers. The exhibition lasted for one week from July 4th-10th. Meanwhile the on-line 3-D gallery was launched at www.i-journey.com.cn.
The tour moved on to Dailian, on July 18th, to present its second chapter “Dalian Inspiration” at Baishijia Dealership. Mr. Jiang Zhi, the famous artist of the “Rainbow Series”, introduced his special art work for Dalian. Infiniti's Adeyaka philosophy echoed in Jiang's brilliant art work: beauty is not only a visual impact, but also the strength from the heart and soul. The Dalian local show lasted from July 18th - 24th and displayed 27 pieces of art work, including photographs, paintings, sculptures and creative lifestyle.
On Aug 1st, the “Inspired Performance Journey” culminated in Guangzhou, unveiling its third chapter at Yuandu Dealership. The famous artist, Li Zhurui, showed her dynamic and vibrant kaleidoscope series, inspired by urban life with a set of colorful kaleidoscopic videos. Her fascinating art work well illustrated the theme of “Innovation”. The exhibition was featured from Aug. 1st - 7th.
The fourth chapter in the Journey took place in Shanghai on Aug.22nd. The event, which focused on “In-style” complemented this seductive city. The famous designer, Mr. Ye Weiyang, unveiled his creative lifestyle art work from Boloni Kebao, inspired by the Infiniti car seat. It showed the creative thinking and understanding of Infiniti design philosophy from Mr. Ye and also well illustrated the theme of “In-style”. The 28 pieces of art including photographs, paintings, sculptures and creative lifestyle works were on display from Aug. 22nd - 28th.
The final stop of the “Inspired Performance Journey” was held in Chengdu on Sep.12th. For this chapter, Infiniti chose “Influence” as the theme. The famous artist, Ms. Liang Yuanwei, unveiled her art work “Strength” for this stop. The flowers showed the non-demonstrative but distinctive design, inspired from the understanding of Infiniti design philosophy, which also well illustrated the theme of Influence. The 32 art pieces were on display from Sept. 12th - 18th.
