Hamburg Grand Opening marks first Infiniti Centre in Germany
AVANT-GARDE ARCHITECTURE. Illuminated, floating sushi bar. White seating cubes. For Germany’s first dealership opening, dealership concept might easily be mistaken for an extraordinary lounge bar.
On the evening of Friday, October 2 a festive event in Hamburg celebrated Germany's first Infiniti Centre. More than 200 guests were hosted by Juergen Schmitz, Regional Director for Central Europe, and Ben Güenther, Managing Director of Infiniti Centre Hamburg. The impressive 800-square-meter facility follows the IREDI (Infiniti Retail Design Initiative). According to Güenther, "The entire site was re-developed and completely re-designed. Therefore, we did not have to make any compromises."
While a live DJ spun records, Euro-Asian finger-foods were served by Infiniti-styled hostesses. Within the luxurious interior decor from the design studio of Walter Knoll, a cocktail bar served special Infiniti purple cocktails to Infiniti enthusiasts, business guests and national journalists. Local celebrities like Boris Entrupp (“Germany’s Next Top Model”) and Carsten Spengemann (tv soap “Verbotene Liebe”) also attended the event.
After an impressive musical introduction by the Japanese Drummer band “Masa Daiko”, TV presenter Jan Stecker from German TV show “Abenteuer Auto” welcomed all guests. Juergen Schmitz, Central Europe Director, congratulated the Centre team and presented Infiniti’s special gift to Ben Güenther and his team: No. 3 of 70 exclusive Infiniti paintings signed by Shiro Nakamura, SVP and CCO Design and Brand Management.
This opening event concluded a full week of national German media promotion. Journalists from renowned dailies and magazines such as F.A.Z., Stern and Automobilwoche rode & drove the complete range of vehicles and experienced personalized customer services à la Infiniti's Total Ownership Experience.
